What is so special about the HD-Diff comparison algorithm?
Our comparison algorithm does not only support very fast and precise comparison between two documents, its unique advantage is the recognition and visualization of insertions, deletions and moved blocks. In particular moved blocks containing small changes are still reliably detected and highlighted. This is a big advantage over regular algorithms that display moved paragraphs only as simple deletions and insertions.
Which file formats are supported?
Our comparison algorithm can be used for diffing PDF files, LaTeX files, word files (docx and doc) and many more text formats. Of course you can mix formats for comparison, e.g. compare word with pdf files.
Is it possible to save and share documents?
In this free version, all uploaded files are immediately discarded after processing. If you would like to store documents and share them with other parties, we recommend to upgrade to our paid version (which you can test for free if you like). Please contact us at info@editive.com for more details.
